No Apps

S B | Jan 27, 2016 | in App Snap!

I don't use apps at all, that is because I don't have a mobile phone. I have travelled round the world without the use of a single app so I guess I really dont need them. With all the money I save I can travel more :)

Interesting. What you don't have, you don't miss and clearly your experiences have in no way been jeopardised by the lack of apps. Jan 27, 2016

Hi arequipa - I seem to get about without them too, but I'm not commuting daily or travelling all that much - do you use the internet to plan trips at all before you go?

I sometimes book tickets or hotel rooms using sites like Expedia.

I've only recently started using apps to be honest - in the last year.... often using the internet more.

We survived before apps and mobile phones so no reason why we still can. I admit it would be a challenge for me but it's not inconceivable.

I don't have the apps either because of phone storage. im but I do frequent lotsof the websites of the apps mentioned when I I do and I don't. but I think I might need it more if I was a commuter. for confidence more than anything

Hi arequipa, I know a few people like this, too. I have noticed that I have got a lot mentally lazier as I have become more reliant on my mobile phone over the years. When I can't get a mobile signal or have no access to wifi, it hammers the point home to me that I am doing less independent thinking and problem solving which I don't view as a good thing!

Once you get used to using things like a mobile you really miss them when they don't work.
