I quite enjoy flying.  The first time I flew I got an upgrade, so that was easy to enjoy.  But even when I went the second time (in economy) I thought it was great.  Mind you, I was so excited about where I was going, I was on a natural high.

I am always the passenger in a car (lucky me!) and I love nothing more than listneing to music on long car journeys.  Sometimes it will be whatever radio station is in range.  Sometimes, for particularly exciting trips I will make a little playlist on my ipad (themed.  I'm quirky that way). I love the fact that you can watch the world go by with a soundtrack. I also find that as there are few other distractions, I can just zone out to life's other stresses.

For me, nothing makes a journey more enjoyable than travelling with my family or friends. I'm also very lucky that I adore my colleagues and count them as family & friends, which as I travel with them quite regularly is great! Even if the rest of the journey goes really badly, at least I've got someone to moan at. Of course, when everything goes to plan it really puts a spring in my step.. breezing through security, no queues at checkin or trying to buy a coffee, no issues or delays....

The most enjoyable part of the journey for me is getting there, reaching my destination and feeling happy and a sense of accomplishment. No matter how easy or difficult a journey is ultimately you are doing it with the purpose of getting somewhere. Arriving on holiday or to visit family and friends is usually a bigger high than arriving home again unless you have been away from loved one's. However it's still a relief to arrive safe and sound.

i love it when we are traveling and either by mistake or having to be diverted weve come across a village or road weve never been on. and a nice one at that! often weve suddenly been opened up into cute little off road villages and or opened up to countrysdie and though "what where this bit of green-ness been all our lives "hehe

I love it when I get the opportunity to leave work early or a meeting finishes earlier than expected and you don't have to go back to work. It can give me a real buzz of enjoyment. The chance to get home early or go and do something nice. That feeling of escape and that little tingle of guilt that you really should be working but your not. Its a chance to miss the rush hour traffic, transport and roads are quieter and you get home faster than usual. You see things you don't normally see...

Travel enjoyment - first thing that comes to my mind is friends in combination with spontaneous journeys. I usually need to plan a lot in my daily life. That's the reason I don't like to stress myself out with plans during my either short or long holidays, even I consiously avoid to make any plans. Actually, I noticed that I got most out of my journeys when I felt a bit lost, there was something unexpectedly happened and I had to find a solution, I became more sociable and open to other...

I was just listening to this http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b06zh6n8 radio 4 short prog about anthropology. The anthopologist was following around a mother and nine year old son for the day. She siad the only time they had a decent conversation with each other was when they were in the car together.  I think that's right, really nice to be the car space with someone, or a few people you like - you have time to interact, have important conversations away from distractions. Not a good place...

My perfect train journey starts when I arrive at the train station with plenty of time to buy or collect my tickets(without any issues), get anything I need for the journey and go to the toilet if required. I don't need to go through a ticket gate to get to my platform. My train arrives on time and there is sufficient time without rushing to get onboard and find my reserved seat which is unoccupied as it should be. If I have luggage I was able to store it without overstretching and...
