Gaps! I hate gaps. As someone who is fairly short 5ft3 I don't have very long legs and find it awkward when my mode of transport is not close to the platform or pavement when I am getting off particularly if I have luggage. Train gaps can be awkward as you are stretching over quite a drop and there is only a narrow step to put your foot on which always feels awkward as its not deep. Plus you tend to feel under pressure as people behind you want off and people in front of you want on....

I don't know if this has been mentined or not, but my husband and me both work during term time. We always have to pay over the odds for our hoildays. We seem to get punished for working with the next generation.

I find it frustrating when people park their cars close together on oppossite sides of the road and you can only just get through. When I park my car I always think to myself can an ambulance/fire engine get through the space. If not then I move. In an emergency an ambulance or fire engine wouldn't stop to knock on doors to get you to move your car!

Somehting else that hasn't come up which surprises me. It's a big hassle for me but of all the remedies and advice out there I've never found anything that really works For me. Anyone got a foolproof regime to avoid and/or deal with it?

As a driver I get fed up of some taxi drivers pulling out sharply in front of other drivers and doing a u turn to go in the other direction with little regard for what is happening around them. I also get fed up of some taxi drivers stopping where they feel like and blocking streets, driveways and bus lanes I am sure the majority of their passengers are capable of walking a few yards and if they are picking up or dropping off disabled passengers there are still restrictions on where they...

This is probably slightly controversial....but it's a hassle! The neighbouring town to me has a one way round system round the shopping area because the road is quite narrow. Parking is allowed along one side, and on the other is a double yellow line - which allows the free movement of cars. However, cars with disabled badges can park on double yellow lines, and even though it prevents traffic flow, we do have cars parking up on the double yellow side, making it either impossible to get...

I have just edited the title to include horses too. No one's mentioned it so far. Someone's gotta do it.  Looks like it has fallen to me. ;-) Dog poop. And is it my imagination or has the volume on our pavements increased in recent months? It feels that way to me. I've taken to sniffing my shoes after every trip. Is there any excuse for a dog owner not to clear the mess up? And while we're at it I also include those folk who considerately clear up the poop and put it  in a bag but...

One thing that always frustrates me about travelling is when you are taken advantage of by being a target audience and all the extra costs you have to pay because of it. I get so frustrated having to pay so much more for food or drinks in train stations, airports, harbours etc. just because everyone puts up with the prices. I always try to avoid buying drinks in these places because it's not right. I have noticed whilst travelling that places like WHSmith have offers in town for 2 for £2 yet...

You're waiting to cross the road at a junction. There's a car, no indicators flashing. So you assume they are coming straight across. You wait. Then they turn right or left. So you could have crossed!! Makes me mad!!! Sometimes you can see the turn of the wheel or the vehicle inlined towards the right or left and you can be pretty sure of the motorist's intention. But why can't a motorist. They you'd know for sure and you make your crossing without wasting that time.

I have on several occasions been splashed from head to toe by a motorist after they have driven through puddles left by some heavy rainfall. I know it can be unavoidable. And some motorists are unaware of the predicament they have put me into. But there have been occasions when a motorist has deliberately driven close to the kerb through an expanse of water and laughed as I've got wet. If you're heading out to start your day it can be miserable. I now try to walk as far away from the kerb as...
